I just wanted to update you all really quickly and let you know that my meds were approved in the beginning of this month and I started back on my Ibrance medication the 11th of December. Thank you all so much for your prayers and words of empathy as we waited. A few people asked me if I was stressing out about my med situation and how terribly hard it must have been for me. I won't lie and say it was completely easy to wait and be patient because it wasn't but overall I had a deep peace that either way it would work out. I also felt very strongly that the Lord called me to wait and rest in him and so I did. I had read the following verse one morning, and later that same day opened a card from a dear friend with the same verse inside.
"Thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: 'In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.'" Isaiah 30:15
I only had two pills left of my Femara when my new supply of both Femara and Ibrance arrived. It was a lesson learned in resting, waiting, and allowing the Lord to do his work through others who fought to get me the medications I needed. I am so thankful.
I love this answer to prayer, and the way the Lord weaves His story in and out of our days.
